Job description

ABOUT ALBERT

Albert is a premium practice, assessment, adaptive learning, and data analysis platform for grades 3–12. We offer 180,000+ practice items spanning the industry's widest range of content, including AP®, SAT®, ACT®, core subjects, and state exams, plus thousands of adaptive skills.

We aren't here to simply put students in front of screens. We partner with exceptional teachers to drive measurable outcomes, earning our place as the indispensable tool they request by name, year after year.

TEAM + ROLE

Adoption Team

At its core, Albert's Adoption Team is our professional learning squad. We train thousands of educators to get real value from our content and features, running the virtual and in-person workshops teachers actually love, all over the country.

We've all had to endure boring, pointless PDs, so we facilitate trainings that are customized and actionable.

The Role

A blend of trainer, builder, and storyteller, the Adoption Manager role is a true hybrid that rewards people who love switching between a dynamic mix of skills.

Trainer

You spend most of your time in front of teachers, leading live sessions of every kind:

  • Present to any teacher audience across every grade and department, from first-time users to ten-year Albert veterans.

  • Lead a range of training formats: a 1on1 private support call, a virtual department workshop, a full-day onsite in a packed auditorium, a premium exam-specific seminar for district leads.

  • Know our platform and content cold, so you can field any question and pivot the moment a workshop takes an unexpected turn.

  • Own every detail of in-person session logistics, from the tech prep to the catering setup to holding a room's energy for 3-6 hours.

Builder

When training season slows, you build what makes Albert more useful at scale:

  • Stand up new subjects, enrich existing content, execute strategic projects that would otherwise fall between the cracks.

  • Leverage AI for speed and scale, while you steer the workflows and own the final quality bar.

  • Carry the teacher's voice into our Product and Content roadmap, shaping what we build next.

Storyteller

The most convincing case for Albert comes from teachers who love it, and you capture and spread it:

  • Edit videos and gather testimonials and social proof. Keep marketing, state, and Help Center pages fresh and relevant social channels active.

  • Provide responsive email and chat support so teachers feel like “Albert always has my back.”

  • Lead marketing rollout for major launches. Execute data-driven email and in-app campaigns that bring more classrooms on board, especially our free adaptive suite.

LOCATION

  • This is a remote position open to residents of Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Tennessee, or Texas.

  • You MUST live within one hour of a major airport.

TRAVEL

On-site training is critical to building long-term adoption with our partner schools, and your willingness and ability to travel to lead trainings (and occasionally conferences) is an essential job function for this role.

  • Frequency. Travel fluctuates with the season. Fall is peak, at roughly 3–5 trips per month (averaging 2 days each); spring and summer require occasional travel.

  • Mode. Nationwide, via flights and rental cars. Reasonable advance notice of all business travel is provided whenever possible.

  • Expenses and stipend. All business travel must comply with the Company's travel and expense policies, which will be provided to you during onboarding. You will be reimbursed for travel-related expenses incurred in accordance with these policies, which may require pre-approval. In addition to all travel expenses being covered, you earn a per-trip stipend scaled to the length and complexity of travel.

BENEFITS

  • Competitive salary and performance-based raises. The starting salary for this role is $75,000, plus a stipend for every on-site training you facilitate. We observe the same pay bands regardless of where you live, and we offer clearly defined performance checkpoints for raises and promotions.

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance. We offer a range of company-sponsored Cigna plans. The company covers 90% of the premium for all plans (medical, dental, and vision) for employees, and 50% of the premium for dependents.

  • Flexible Spending Account and Dependent FSA. Set aside pre-tax dollars for eligible medical expenses and the costs of caring for dependents.

  • One Medical. We cover enrollment in One Medical to give all employees convenient access to primary care.

  • Paid parental leave. Parents are eligible for up to twelve (12) weeks of fully paid parental leave after a year of service.

  • A 401(k) plan. Save for retirement with a fully managed plan and a 1% match.

  • Flexible, guilt-free vacation. Take guilt-free vacations with no hard limit. Most people take about 3–4 weeks per year and are encouraged to take time off. This is not a vague policy where "unlimited" ends up meaning "hardly ever, it's too stressful to ask for time off." We actively encourage everyone to take off.

  • Half-day Fridays. We're serious about combating burnout and protecting a healthy work-life balance. Every Albert team member enjoys permanent half-day Fridays, so every weekend is a long weekend.

  • A deep-work culture. We keep recurring syncs minimal and lean on async communication, so your time goes to teachers and building helpful tools instead of yet another meeting.

START DATE + PROCESS

  • We're looking for candidates who can start immediately (Summer or early Fall 2026).

  • We review applications on a rolling basis. The process is an initial interview, a writing sample task, and a final interview that includes a brief live training facilitation.

  • Albert is proud to be an equal-opportunity workplace. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, or veteran status. As we grow, we deliberately build teams that represent the different cultures, backgrounds, ethnicities, and experiences of our customers and their communities, and we foster a culture of inclusion, psychological safety, and personal growth.

Job requirements

Our ideal candidate will have or be the following:

  • Experienced educator. 2+ years teaching 3rd–12th grade. You deeply understand the realities of classrooms and supplemental resources.

  • Teacher of teachers. You've run training sessions that drive real adoption and joy, not just compliance.

  • Agile and autonomous. You juggle several unrelated projects, learn new domains fast, and thrive in ambiguity. You decide from first principles without needing hand-holding, and you aren't afraid to try something quickly and improve as you go.

  • Grace under pressure. When live training goes sideways (tech fails, a schedule shifts), you keep your calm, your warmth, and your smile, so teachers leave feeling cared for.

  • AI-empowered builder. You use generative AI (Claude, Gemini, etc.) to move faster and build more, while holding a bar for polish and accuracy that only a human expert can hit.

  • Edtech aficionado. You weave edtech into your teaching, pick up new tools quickly, and you're the person colleagues bring tech questions to.

  • Self-aware and humble. You're a clear, diplomatic communicator who solves problems patiently, owns mistakes fast, and defaults to celebrating the team.

  • Albert believer. You believe in the power of rigorous practice and feedback to improve student outcomes, and you can share that conviction with teachers.

  • Albert user (not required but a nice plus). If you've used Albert in your own classroom, you know firsthand how to help teachers maximize our platform’s potential, and where we can be even better.
